Adrian Brewer Paintings Collection Restoration

The Department of Special Collections at the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library houses the University of Saint Thomas Libraries' collection of rare books and manuscripts, as well as, the University Archives. Special Collections also host the Adrian Brewer paintings collection.  A well known prolific portrait and landscape painter who received special attention for his impressionist style of work.  Adrian Brewer was born in St. Paul, Minnesota; he was raised between St. Paul and New York City.

The oil on canvas/panel paintings from the Special Collections are 
portraits: archbishops and reverends and landscapes.  They are located in the Special Collections department, Archbishop's Apartment, President's House, and many other spaces in the campus.

The paintings were restored between between 1993 and 1994.
